Doug Talker is a sentient speech bubble and Lost Vegas native. Born and raised there, he often serves as a guide to others just passing through. Professionally, Doug is a speech therapist, with Arrow Box being one of his clients.

Being a speech bubble, Doug can only easily exist in comics and comic-adjacent media. Trying to exist in animation tends to give him a slight headache, while inhabiting a written work causes nausea and fatigue. He has pills to help lessen these effects, but can't take them on account of not having a mouth.

Doug wears his trademark hat to avoid people confusing him for a normal speech bubble, and for personal flair. That said, Doug frequently pranks people by removing his hat and literally putting words in their mouths. He tried adding red necktie around his tail to his outfit at one point, but ditched the look after it drew unwanted associations.
